2024: The Year of IT Team Experience

As the IT market matures, we’re witnessing a fascinating shift. Initially, cloud technology demanded hefty knowledge investments and grappled with complexity. Yet, each year, tech currents strive to broaden capabilities while simplifying their use — a duality as challenging as progressing in two opposite directions.

Is it feasible to expand technology while also making it user-friendly? History says yes. Computers transitioned from the exclusive realm of scientists and large corporations to our pockets and wrists. This trajectory hints at how cloud technology will evolve — moving from a niche resource to a foundational element for all organizations.

The key? Accessibility hinges on the number of people needed to leverage the technology — the fewer, the better. User experience becomes paramount when tools autonomously handle complex tasks, enabling us to do more with less.

The disparity between teams maintaining platforms and those enhancing customer-facing features is stark. The market leaders of 2024 and beyond will be those shifting investments from operational maintenance to value creation for customers. The adage “do more with less” transcends cliché, embodying the survival mantra for businesses. After all, if the operational costs overshadow the value of the offerings, even the most attractive and innovative ventures will fail to thrive.

So when terms like Developer Experience, User Experience, Team Onboarding, and Platform as a Product come up, you’ll know exactly what they entail. Stay ahead, lead the change, for the end goal is written in our history: “User-friendly tools that deliver more to the end customer.”

Wishing everyone great success.
